This cup is hand thrown, with slip and sgrafitto on iron-rich clay.
Each piece is individually decorated and the cup you receive may not be the exact one shown, however, all are equally beautiful with the same repeated pattern.
Otani Pottery Studio was created by Tetsuya and Momoko Otani in 2008, in the mountains of Shigaraki, one of the 6 oldest pottery sites in Japan. The beautiful designs behind the works are developed from small ideas Momoko and Tetsuya come across in their daily lives.
