These wonderful ceramic spot mugs are made by Kaname Takeguchi in the Shiga Prefecture of Japan.
Kaname's countryside studio, named Utsuwa Kobako, reflects his desire to create everyday homewares (utsuwa), with his fondness for boxes : kobako being a term for an incense storage box. Thanks to his own sweet tooth, he likes making small vessels designed to hold confectionery, fruit, or traditional Japanese treats served alongside tea.
The mugs are available in two colourways. Please select your choice from the drop-down menu.
- grey with white spot
- dark grey with light grey spot
Sold individually.
Please note: these are handmade items and any imperfections are part of the beauty that is handmade.
