Sashiko envelope bag workshop with Kazue Yoshikawa
Join internationally renowned Sashiko teacher, designer and artist, Kazue Yoshikawa, for the opportunity to learn the beautiful art of sashiko.
Kazue Yoshikawa is based in Kyoto, Japan, where she runs SASHIKO.LAB -- an intimate studio atelier which showcases the centuries-old Japanese stitching technique passed down through generations.
This half day workshop is designed to enable participants to create their own envelope bag, with expert guidance from Kazue. Morning or Afternoon sessions are available. No experience necessary.
We are thrilled to host Kazue and this workshop at paper boat press, and excited to share this rare experience with you.
Location: the crescent room, paper boat press gallery, 60 Ashgrove Crescent, Ashgrove. Please arrive five minutes early so we can begin on time.

Cost: $250 per ticket
What to bring: For this workshop, Kazue requests that you bring a piece of fabric approximately 35cm x 35cm of your own, to line the inside of your envelope.
What will be provided: Tuition by Kazue and materials, including the cloth (choice of three colours: red, blue, and green), white thread, pattern, and finishing instructions if not completed in class.
Morning or afternoon tea with sweets from Kyoto is also included.
Limited places available, 10 spaces only for an intimate learning experience - bookings are essential.
Terms: As a small business with limited seats available for the workshops, purchased spots are final and we are unable to offer refunds. Tickets are transferrable to friends or family if you cannot attend. Thank you.
