… offering book publishing and print services to turn your book into reality.
Hi, my name is Tiffany Johnson. I have been working in the book publishing industry, specialising in high end colour book production, for almost 25 years. Over this time I have worked in Australia, England and Hong Kong for some of the most recognisable companies in books, including HarperCollins, Murdoch Books and 1010 Printing International. I have received many production awards and recognition for books I have worked on over the years for major publishers and institutions, including the National Gallery of Victoria, the Art Gallery of NSW, Hardie Grant Books and Pan Macmillan. And I get great satisfaction helping self-publishers see their own books come to life. I have also co-authored two books with my sister, Kylie Johnson, Utuswa – Japanese objects for everyday use and Earth and Fire (both with Thames and Hudson Australia). My experience ranges wide within the publishing and printing industry and my hope is that I can help you realise your book dream.
Having your book picked up by a major publishing house isn’t the only option to have it published. More and more custom publishing is finding a place in today’s world, helped by the ability to sell your books through your own social media and sales channels. If the content is worthy of an audience and has an intrinsic importance, then it should be published.
Through my print management services I can help find the right printer (local or offshore) who will be the best fit for your book, and work with you to control the content and design. Working on a minimum order quantity of 500 books up to tens of thousands, I can manage a scale within these parameters and turn your book into a reality.
paper boat press EDITIONS publishing services can also project manage the entire book process. From pagination and creative direction and specification of format and materials, through editing and design stages, as well as the print management of the book.
My passion for the art and importance of the book as an object to be treasured and a vehicle of knowledge to be shared is why I do what I do and why I would love to work with you.
An intial consult fee is $300 which is credited on your final invoice should you proceed with one of the services. This fee will cover a two-hour consultancy, brain storm, basic cost analysis and creative direction.
I look forward to working with you.
