These small sake or teacups made by keigo and chiaki sakata are part of a collection selected by Kylie during her journeys through Kyoto and beyond in Japan, sourced from makers discovered in markets, galleries, and small shops along her travels.
Each piece is individually carved or pressed with slip inlay, creating dramatic geometric brown patterns. The couple works from their home studio in Kizugawa, Japan. The Sakata's feature in Utsuwa, and Kylie feels very privileged to share their work with you.
