Made by Kaname Moriwaki in the Shiga Prefecture of Japan, these small ceramic bowls are lightweight and the perfect size to be hugged by hands.
Kaname's countryside studio named Utsuwa Kobako, reflects his desire to create everyday homewares (utsuwa), with his fondness for boxes : kobako being a term for an incense storage box. Thanks to his love of sweets, he likes making small vessels designed to hold confectionery, fruit, or traditional Japanese treats served alongside tea.
In a speckled grey finish with white painted spots, this lovely small bowl is sure to bring an appreciation of utsuwa to anyone's home.
Sold individually.
Please note: this is a handmade item and any imperfections are part of the beauty that is handmade.
